Pathways to Support

Washtenaw County Conservation District

Tree planting

Together, we can protect land, water, and wildlife across Washtenaw County.

The Washtenaw County Conservation District (WCCD) connects people with the resources they need to care for the land. Your support—whether through donations, sponsorships, volunteering, or partnerships—helps us grow local conservation efforts and reach more residents and farmers every year.

Below are a few ways you can make a difference.

YIES SCHG 1

Financial donations can be made to the WCCD, or to specifically support the School & Community Habitat Program that awards local organizations with plant materials and expert consulting.

Your gift supports local conservation education, local tree and plant distributions, and technical assistance for residents and farmers.
Every dollar stays right here in Washtenaw County to strengthen our soil and water resources.

One-time giving:

  • Give Online: We accept donations to the WCCD, to support School & Community Habitat Grant projects, or give the gift of conservation with a plant sales gift card!
    Donate!
  • By Mail: Send checks payable to Washtenaw County Conservation District
705 N. Zeeb Rd., Suite 201, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

Other giving options:

  • Monthly Giving: Become a sustaining donor to provide ongoing support throughout the year.
  • Tribute Gifts: Make a gift in honor or memory of someone who loves the land.
  • In-kind donations: Some of our programs benefit from materials donated, such as boxes for plant sales or tools for the tool bank.

The annual Native Plant Expo & Marketplace offers various levels of sponsorships and visibility benefits for your organization.

Local businesses, organizations, and individuals can sponsor WCCD events such as the Native Plant Expo & Marketplace, Tree & Shrub Distributions, or workshops that help residents and farmers adopt conservation practices. Sponsorships are a great way to demonstrate community leadership while supporting a healthy environment.

Partnerships can vary widely, such as annual plant sales collaborations with Washtenaw County Water Resources Commissioner's office or one time educational workshops at places like We The People Opportunity Farm.

Partner or Collaborate

We’re always seeking partnerships with schools, community groups, farms, and municipalities to expand conservation outreach, cost-share programs, and educational opportunities.

We coordinate the Washtenaw Tool Bank Collective, with Growing Hope Urban Farm. We're open to other possible tool bank hubs to join the collective. If interested to join or offer ideas, contact us at: tools@washtenawcd.org

If you have an idea for other partnerships or collaborations, contact us at development@washtenawcd.org
