Region 10 Employee of the Year Award: Doug Reith

The Conservation Districts Employees of Michigan (CDEM) serve the employees of conservation districts throughout the state of Michigan, and provides annual recognition awards. At the winter conference, our Resource Specialist, Doug Reith, was awarded "Employee of the Year" for Region 10. 

Doug started in 2020, and has since expanded, improved, and documented the many plant & resource sales and distributions, managed the rebuild of the recently launched new WCCD website, and provided various skills and support as the organization grew over the years.

He was honored by fellow staff members on December 4, who acknowledged his ability to wrangle large scale events' organizational complexities, build programs to regional recognition and community connections, and be a steadfast conservation district advocate. They emphasized how he has been welcoming, supportive, and thoughtful through the years.
