We've had the same website for nearly 10 years! It was becoming a bit unwieldy and unorganized as our organization grew and outgrew the website. We went through a long Requests-for-proposals process, and selected Tamarack Media Cooperative, they also built the mifarmlink.org website, to build the new site with the open-sourced Drupal platform.
It's been a long time coming, but we're happy to announce the launch of the new website to best meet the resource needs of our county and achieve our strategy plan. The primary goals of the new website included:
Goal 1: Improved Design!
We have improved our design with more brand consistency, introduced more photographic visual engagement, and created a better experience for our constituents and partners. The new website is mobile responsive, to work better on all device and screen sizes. We've brought more attention to making our content accessible to screen-readers as well.
Goal 2: Improved Content Organization!
We took on the re-organization of over 280 pages of content and improved navigation & searchability so our residents can find the resources they are looking for faster. The new site allows our staff to manage the growing number of pages with more efficiency.
Goal 3: More functionality!
One requirement was that we'd have a new platform that is extendable for new functionality. We've launched the following new sections that provide the latest events, news articles and updates from our newsletters, and a whole set of filterable pages on local conservation resource & Service Providers! We've even put together new snazzy new staff and board pages, so you can get to know us and get in touch.
