Enrollment in the Michigan Conservation Stewardship for Farmers Project is now open!
Application and Enrollment details can be found at macd.org/mcsfp
The Michigan Conservation Stewardship for Farmers Project (MCSFP) is a USDA-funded initiative meant to put “Farmers First.” Through a producer incentive program, MCSFP will invest a total of $3 million in southeast Michigan farms by September 2028.
Farms of all scales and scopes are eligible to apply for enrollment in the following counties: Washtenaw, Wayne, Monroe, Lenawee and Hillsdale. Application and Enrollment steps may be found at www.macd.org/mcsfp.
Eligible farm owner applicants will undergo a conservation planning process with Conservation District staff to identify one or several on-farm conservation practices and/or marketing support practices for their operation.
The MCSFP is a partnership between the following entities: Michigan Association of Conservation Districts, Washtenaw County Conservation District, Keep Growing Detroit, Monroe County Conservation District, and Lenawee County Conservation District.
Funding for this project was made possible by the Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Commodity Credit Corporation. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official views of the USDA.
