Susan Morley LaCroix is an avid conservationist and excited to be serving with the Washtenaw County Conservation District. She has worked at land conservancies across the country since 2011, currently serving as the Land Protection Director at Legacy Land Conservancy. In her capacity she permanently conserves farmland with conservation easements and connects landowners with Farm Bill funds and other resources. She has been a Washtenaw County resident and part of the Legacy team since 2019. LaCroix doubled majored in political science and environmental policy at University of Michigan.
She is a passionate advocate for local, healthy food by permanently protecting farmland through her work, being a member of a local CSA, and supporting local food initiatives whenever she can. LaCroix enjoys fiber arts, sailing, supporting the arts, enjoying the local natural areas and spending time with her partner and two dogs.
