In 2020 Green Things Farm, Land Loom and Ann Arbor Seed Company combined forces to become the Green Things Farm Collective (GTFC). Though the name has changed, there are many things that are the same. GTFC is still one of only two farms within Washtenaw County that is verified within four MAEAP systems. Their organic growing operations have made it simple for them to become re-verified in their cropping system. Moving cattle on a rotational basis and allowing pastures to rest has kept their livestock operation sound. Consistent well water testing has been kept up on their farmstead. And work continues on the woodlands through their Forestry Management Plan.
GTFC continues the principals the original Green Things Farm has practiced for years: being organic, sustainable, regenerative, and ethical. The operation recognizes its benefited from the privileges and have made giving back a key component of their operation. When you donate $20 through their store they will pass that money onward in the form of fresh food to a food bank or aid organization. And if you are looking for produce from GTFC they offer CSA shares, farm raised beef, cut flowers as well as seeds and plants. Please, check out their website (www.greenthingsfarm.com) to see all that they offer.
