We no longer offer physical copies of Plat Books, due to the low demand and high cost. However, there are multiple free versions to access the current information. Many resources can be found on the Washtenaw County - Maps page.

The new 2021 edition of the Washtenaw Land Atlas and Plat Book, published by Rockford Map Publishing. Includes maps and aerial photos of each township, land ownership and an index to property owners.

Soil Surveys
Are you looking at some land to build a new home and want to know if the soil on the property is suitable for a septic system? Or, are you curious about what kind of soil you have on your land now? Then, the Washtenaw County Soil Survey is what you are looking for! It includes soil maps for the County, plus soil descriptions and many tables that list information related to engineering, building, tree planting, recreational use, wildlife habitat, and water management.

Topographic Maps
U.S. Geological Survey topographical maps are excellent reference tools, showing ground elevations on 10 foot contours, roads, lakes, streams, wetlands woodland, and more. Maps covering most of Washtenaw County are available. You must specify which area of Washtenaw County you are looking for so we can make sure to get you the correct map.
