Board Of Directors
Washtenaw County Conservation District
A five-member Board of Directors governs the Washtenaw County Conservation District. Members are elected by residents of the District at the annual meeting, which will take place June, 2026, during the Native Plant Expo & Marketplace. Directors serve four-year terms, are non-salaried, and receive a meeting allowance and reimbursement for mileage and actual expenses.
The Board is responsible for the development and implementation of all District programs, financial management, organizational oversight, and long-term strategic planning. The Board meets monthly to receive staff reports, plan programs and activities, approve bills, and review financial plans.

2026 Board Elections
The next WCCD Board of Directors election will take place in June 2026 during the Native Plant Expo & Marketplace (held annually on the first Saturday in June).
There will be two full Board Director positions open for (re)election.
Residents of legal age who can demonstrate residency in the Conservation District with one (1) form of identification are eligible to vote. Absentee ballots will be available at the WCCD office in the weeks leading up to the election during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).
