Tree Stakes
Tree Stake
Flexible fiberglass tree stakes that can be used to support tree shelters, or trees without shelters. Has 100% UV protection with a 20-year replacement warranty. Lightweight and durable; will not rust, rot or discolor; reduces need to fix bent stakes & re-staking. Stakes flex with the tree (and shelter, if used) to promote stronger trunks and larger root systems. ONLY AVAILABLE WITH SPRING SALE.
Planting Bar
Planting Bar
A convenient, fast way to plant seedlings. Makes hole just the right size for tree seedlings in non-rocky soil. Not recommended for transplants. Tubular steel handle and shaft with wedge-shaped 3" X 11" blade, unpainted. Bare metal can be painted. Weight: approx. 7 lbs.
Weed Mats
Weed mat
The most important thing you can do after planting is to control weeds. Weed Mats reduce the need for herbicide application or mowing around tree seedlings. Weed Mats are 2.5 mils thick, UV stabilized for 3 years to suppress weed growth. Includes 5 staples/mat to anchor to the soil.
Green Screen Deterrent
Green Screen
A simple and effective way to discourage wildlife damage. Ideal for gardens, orchards, trees and ornamental vegetation. The odor is offensive to deer, rabbits and raccoons. Green Screen is a non-toxic mixture of meat meal (tankage) & red pepper (capsaicin) and is safe for all edible crops up to the day of harvest. No mixing or spraying. Effective for up to 4 months. Sprinkle around plants. Covers 275-300 square feet. It also acts as a soil enhancement.
  • 3 Lb. Box Powder
Plantskydd Animal Repellent
Plantskydd Animal Repellent
This all-natural, non-toxic deterrent provides effective protection for up to 6 months against deer and rabbits. Repels by odor not taste and will not harm animals. Apply to conifer & hardwood trees, shrubs, ornamentals and flowers. Applied as a spray with a pressurized hand-held or backpack type sprayer. Available as soluble powder & ready-to-use liquid.
  • 1 qt. liquid spray bottle protects 80-100, 1 ft. high plants

Fertilizer Tablets
Fertilizer Tablets
Compressed, 10-Gram, nutrient-rich starter tablets supply all the nitrogen, phosphorus and potash needed by seedlings for 2 years. More nutrients released during growing season when bacterial activity is greatest. Very little is released during dormant season. Convenient tablets make it easy to prevent seedlings from being "burned." Use 1 tablet per seedling.
Marking Flags
Marking Flags
Use to mark trees, driveways, etc. 4" X 5" fluorescent red/orange plastic flag on 36" wire. This item cannot be mail ordered. Must be purchased at District Office.
Root Dip
A powder developed specifically for moisture retention. When mixed with water creates a special gel which clings to a plant's roots and greatly enhances its chances for growth and survival. A 2-ounce bag will treat about 2,000 seedlings; fewer transplants or plants with larger root masses.
