Lady Bugs
Multicolored Asian lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis). Courtesy USDA, ARS.
The last couple years, lady bug populations have seen dramatic increases and many people have experienced large amounts of these insects invading their homes. By and large these invasions have been by the multi-colored Asian lady bug introduced from Japan to help manage aphids, scale, greenbugs and other soft-bodied leaf feeding insects.
